Raspberry Pi 3 available at $35 with built in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

This was the second leap day in a leap year after starting the Raspberry. On the before Leap day, this has been started on the last leap day, 29th, February 2012.

Again after four years, the company has a new product Raspberry Pi 3. This hardware is within built Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity supported.

Raspberry Pi 3 is going to be with the foundation of 64-bit computing device and is equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and is just available at $US35.

Starting from the release the company has reached 8 million units sold and made it the UK’s best selling computer.

Processor

This model is an update to its predecessor Raspberry Pi 2 with the changes like 900 MHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 CPU and is replaced by a 64-bit quad-core processor with 1.2 GHz speed ARM Cortex A53. One more improvement is from 32-bit cortex A7 processor to 64-bit cortex A53 processor. The processing speed is increased by 50 to 60 percent compared to Pi 2.

RAM

The RAM maintained by the device is 1 GB LPDDR2 and 400 MHz Broadcom VideoCore IV graphics.

USB ports provided in the device are 4.

Network

10/100 Mbps Ethernet, Wi-Fi 802.11n LAN and Bluetooth 4.0.

CEO of Raspberry Eben upton said, this would be truly the first replacement of PC. He also said that 200,000 Pi3 computers will be available on launch and buyers will sooner get their devices. If the devices in the launch are not enough, then the customers need to wait a week or two, As Raspberry is planning to manufacture 100,000 devices per week.

All the other features like microSD , HDMI port, Ethernet and USB ports. The device runs a Broadcom VideoCore IV 3D graphics processor that can play 1080p video at 60 frames per second, and has 40 GPIO pins, and display and camera interfaces.
